Confidentiality of uploaded files
Last updated: 12 October 2026
This is a courtesy translation. In case of any discrepancy, the Italian version of this document prevails.
We know that the drawings you upload for a quote — DXF profiles, STEP models — may contain industrial property or patents not yet filed. Here is exactly how we handle them.
While the quote is calculated
The quote is calculated entirely in your browser: the file analysis (cutting length, number of holes, areas, any bends) is performed by code running on your computer, not on our servers. As long as you are only generating a quote, the file is never transmitted to us or to third parties.
If you proceed with the order
Only if you decide to complete the order is the file uploaded to our systems, for the sole purpose of producing the requested part. The file is used exclusively by the staff working on your order. We do not share your drawings with outside parties other than the service providers needed to fulfil the order, listed in our Privacy Policy.
NDA on request
For business orders with particularly sensitive drawings, we can sign a specific non-disclosure agreement (NDA) before you send the files. Write to us at scarpati@scarpati.eu, by certified email (PEC) at scarpatiruggiero@pec.it or call +39 081 861 6341 to request one.
File retention
We keep the files attached to orders for as long as needed to fulfil them and for the period required by law (e.g. tax and accounting regulations). For full details on the processing of personal data, including the third-party providers involved, see our Privacy Policy.
